ABOUT THIS WINE
Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et La Salle is a pioneering cooperative located in the Valle d'Aosta, crafting wines from some of the highest vineyards in Europe, reaching up to 1,200 meters above sea level at the foot of Mont Blanc. This unique sparkling wine is made entirely from Prié Blanc, an indigenous grape variety that has adapted to the extreme alpine climate. Because of the high altitude and isolated location, the vines are ungrafted (piede franco), surviving the phylloxera epidemic. This wine represents a heroic effort in viticulture, capturing the pure, crystalline essence of the Alps.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Crafted using the Metodo Classico (traditional method), the grapes are hand-harvested from steep, stone-walled pergolas designed to retain ground heat. Primary fermentation takes place in stainless steel and oak, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine is aged on its lees for at least 12 months before disgorgement. The extreme altitude influences the atmospheric pressure during bottling, resulting in a remarkably fine and persistent perlage.
