ABOUT THIS WINE
Cadre was founded in 2020 by John and Lucy Niven in the Edna Valley of California's Central Coast. John is a third-generation vintner whose grandfather, Jack Niven, pioneered viticulture in the region by planting the historic Paragon Vineyard in 1973. Following the sale of the family's larger wine holdings, John launched Cadre with a singular focus: exploring cool-climate, aromatic, and unoaked white wines. The 'Stone Blossom' Sauvignon Blanc is a tribute to this extreme maritime terroir, sourced from vineyards located just two to five miles from the Pacific Ocean, where the cool coastal breezes and marine soils yield wines of exceptional energy and precision.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for the Stone Blossom Sauvignon Blanc is designed to preserve the vibrant, natural energy of the Edna Valley fruit. Sourced from Paragon, Salaal, and Moretti Canyon vineyards, the grapes (comprising Clone 1, Musqué, and ENTAV Clone 530) are fermented entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is strictly blocked to maintain the wine's high natural acidity. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for five months on its fine lees in stainless steel to build mid-palate texture and complexity without any oak influence.
