WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Strehn Blaufränkisch Irrgarten 2020 is produced from 100% Blaufränkisch grapes. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a method that helps to retain its fresh fruit character. Following fermentation, it is matured in 500-liter oak barrels, which contributes to its structure and complexity. The vineyard is farmed organically, with the winery having transitioned to these practices in 2017 and achieving BIO certification in 2021. The vines are approximately 30 years old and are grown on limestone soil.
