ABOUT THIS WINE
E. Guigal's Tavel Rosé hails from the unique Tavel AOC in the Southern Rhône Valley, an appellation solely dedicated to rosé production. The Guigal family, with a history rooted in Rhône winemaking since 1946, produces this wine with a traditional approach. The region's terroir, featuring clay and pebbly soils, contributes to the wine's distinctive character. The 2022 vintage benefited from a hot summer followed by beneficial rains, leading to ripe, concentrated grapes with balanced acidity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The E. Guigal Tavel Rosé is produced using a maceration process where the juice is drawn off the skins after 8-12 hours. Fermentation is carried out under controlled temperatures. The wine then matures in stainless steel tanks for about six months, followed by an additional six to twelve months of bottle aging. The average vine age is 25 years, and the soils are a mix of clay and pebbles.
