ABOUT THIS WINE
Château Pesquié Terrasses Blanc 2022 hails from the AOC Ventoux appellation in the Rhône Valley, France. Produced by the Chaudière family, who have been making wine for three generations, the estate is situated at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The vineyards are planted on elevated plots, around 350-400 meters above sea level, on limestone or clay-limestone soils. The estate is managed with a focus on organic viticulture and is in conversion to biodynamic practices. The Terrasses Blanc is a blend of Viognier, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne, with the exact percentages varying slightly by source. The wine's unique character is influenced by the high-altitude micro-climate of the Ventoux region.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château Pesquié Terrasses Blanc 2022 begins with the direct pressing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks or concrete vats over about 15 days. To preserve the wine's freshness and aromatic profile, malolactic fermentation is intentionally blocked. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 4 months in tank or in concrete and stainless steel vats, with no oak aging employed. Harvest is typically conducted by hand.
