The grapes are sourced from the Bonille vineyard and three other high-elevation sites in the Greve Valley, each contributing distinct characteristics. The estate, Terreno, has been managed by the Ruhne family since 1988, with a philosophy focused on craftsmanship, nature, and minimal intervention winemaking. They are committed to sustainable practices, including being fully self-sufficient in energy and water.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process at Terreno begins with hand-harvested grapes, followed by a meticulous second manual selection in the cellar. Fermentation is carried out using natural yeasts in either open 1000-liter containers or steel tanks, with controlled temperatures. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging in large oak barrels, specifically 24hl for 14 months, a method chosen to preserve the fruit's character. The estate is committed to organic farming practices, which have been in place since 2014, and operates with 100% self-sufficiency in energy and water.
