ABOUT THIS WINE
Torre Muga 2019 is a red wine from Bodegas Muga, a respected winery in Rioja, Spain, established in 1932. The wine is a blend primarily of Tempranillo, with Mazuelo and Graciano. It originates from vineyards on the slopes of the Montes Obarenes in Rioja Alta, characterized by chalky-clay and alluvial soils, and features old vines. Torre Muga was conceived to offer a more contemporary style with an international perspective, representing a top-tier offering from the Muga family. The 2019 vintage is noted for its excellent quality, ripeness, power, and finesse, with strong aging potential.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Torre Muga 2019 is produced by Bodegas Muga in Rioja, Spain. The grapes are hand-harvested. Fermentation is initiated spontaneously in wooden vats using indigenous yeasts, with maceration lasting two to three weeks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels sourced from the Allier region. Following aging, the wine undergoes a light fining with fresh egg whites.
