ABOUT THIS WINE
The 2020 Trifolium from The Eyrie Vineyards is a red wine from the Willamette Valley, Oregon, composed of Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Pinot Meunier. The Eyrie Vineyards, established in 1965, was the first to cultivate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the region. The winery is situated in the Dundee Hills, an area recognized for its suitability for Burgundian grape varietals. The Trifolium name reflects the blend of three grape varieties. The 2020 vintage was characterized by reduced yields due to weather conditions, which contributed to fruit concentration.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2020 Trifolium undergoes native yeast fermentation in open-top fermenters with hand punchdowns. Malolactic fermentation also occurs naturally. The wine is subsequently aged for 28 months in French oak, with 17% of the barrels being new. The grapes are sourced from Eyrie's five certified-organic estate vineyards, which utilize regenerative no-till farming. The wine is bottled unfiltered, having been racked once. The production volume for this vintage was 2,619 cases.
