ABOUT THIS WINE
Trimbach Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg is a 100% Riesling from the Alsace Grand Cru appellation, specifically from the Mandelberg vineyard in Mittelwihr. The vineyard, cultivated by Trimbach since 1996, is characterized by its south-southeast exposure and brown limestone-marl soil with rolled limestone pebbles. Maison Trimbach, a family estate with a history dating back to 1626, is recognized for its commitment to producing structured, long-lived, and fruit-driven wines. The estate has been practicing sustainable farming since 1972 and was certified HVE-3 Organic in 2023. The Mandelberg Grand Cru vineyard is noted for its warmer, earlier-ripening terroir compared to some other Grand Crus in the region.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Trimbach Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg is produced from 100% Riesling grapes. Following hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel vats and occasionally in old wooden casks. Fermentation is conducted at cool temperatures and proceeds slowly to maintain the wine's fruit character and achieve a dry style. Malolactic fermentation is typically not performed. The wine is then aged for a minimum of three years before bottling. The estate has a long-standing commitment to sustainable viticulture, achieving organic certification in 2023.
