ABOUT THIS WINE
Unconditional Love is a deeply personal creation by Tamara Kögl, a third-generation winemaker who took over her family's estate in Southern Styria in 2012 at the age of 25. Operating under Demeter-certified biodynamic principles, the estate is managed as a self-sustaining ecosystem complete with grazing sheep and wild cover crops. Tamara approaches winemaking with a synesthetic perspective, translating the colors, structures, and personalities she perceives in her wines into striking, minimalist labels. This unique bottling is classified as a Landwein because its non-traditional multi-vintage blend and skin-contact profile sit outside the strict regulations of the local Südsteiermark DAC system.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
This orange wine is a creative multi-vintage blend of Muscat Ottonel from three consecutive years (2021, 2022, and 2023), sourced from the steep, hand-harvested slopes of the Stermetzberg vineyard. The 2021 portion was fermented with whole bunches and underwent three months of skin contact before aging for two years in small, neutral oak barriques. The 2022 portion was destemmed, fermented with three months of skin contact, and aged for one year in neutral oak. The 2023 portion was destemmed and fermented on the skins for 14 days. All components underwent spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and the final blend was bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur additions.
