ABOUT THIS WINE
Underwood Pinot Noir is a red wine from Oregon, produced by Union Wine Company. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes and draws fruit from various Oregon vineyards, including the Willamette Valley, Umpqua Valley, Illinois Valley, Rogue Valley, and Columbia Valley. The producer, Union Wine Company, founded in 2005, aims to create accessible, high-quality Oregon wines. The 2022 vintage benefited from a mild summer that allowed for late-season grape ripening. The wine is notable for its approachability and its availability in both bottle and can formats.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Underwood Pinot Noir is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from various Oregon regions. The grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a method chosen to maintain the wine's fresh fruit character. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for eight months, with a portion (15%) maturing in new French oak barrels. This aging process is designed to add subtle layers of complexity. The vineyards from which the grapes are sourced are farmed sustainably. Union Wine Company also utilizes innovative packaging, offering the wine in both traditional bottles and cans.
