ABOUT THIS WINE
Valautín Garnacha is a red wine from the Vinos de Madrid appellation, produced by Bodega Ca'di Mat. It is made from 100% Garnacha Tinta grapes grown on old vines (30-80 years) in the Sierra de Gredos region, known for its granite and sandy soils at altitudes of 700-850 meters. The winery, also known as 'Casa de Locos,' focuses on ecological viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking. The 2021 vintage experienced a cool, wet growing season followed by a fresh harvest period. The wine is certified vegan.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Valautín Garnacha is produced using 100% Garnacha Tinta grapes from old vines. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, including fermentation with indigenous yeasts and whole clusters. Maceration lasts for approximately 90 days. The wine is then aged for 12 months, with 50% in concrete tanks and 50% in used 500-liter French oak barrels. The grapes are hand-harvested from multiple small plots.
