WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Valcanzjria Gulfi 2022 is produced using a blend of Chardonnay, Carricante, and Albanello grapes. Fermentation typically takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures, with some indications of native yeast usage. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging on its fine lees for about six months, also in stainless steel. This aging process is designed to build texture and complexity. The winery, Gulfi, is committed to organic farming practices and a philosophy of minimal intervention, aiming to express the unique terroir of their Sicilian vineyards. The grapes are grown in the hilly regions of Chiaramonte Gulfi, characterized by limestone-clay soils.
