ABOUT THIS WINE
The Valdobbiadene Extra Dry Prosecco 2022 is a sparkling white wine from the Veneto region of Italy, specifically the Valdobbiadene DOCG appellation. It is produced by Spumanti Gemin Bortolomiol Guglielmo S.R.L., a winery with a winemaking heritage dating back to the mid-eighteenth century. The current generation of leadership, comprised of Giuliano Bortolomiol's daughters, maintains a focus on quality, environmental respect, and social responsibility. The grapes are grown in hillside vineyards using the traditional 'modified cappuccina' method, contributing to the wine's character. Bortolomiol is recognized for its pioneering role in Prosecco production, notably in developing Brut styles.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Valdobbiadene Extra Dry Prosecco 2022 is made from 100% Glera grapes. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures with selected yeasts. The secondary fermentation, essential for its sparkling nature, is carried out using the Charmat method in autoclaves over 25 to 30 days. This is followed by a refinement period of approximately three months. The grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards cultivated using the traditional 'modified cappuccina' method, with harvesting typically taking place in the latter half of September.
