ABOUT THIS WINE
The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut from Col Vetoraz is a white sparkling wine made from 100% Glera grapes. It originates from the high hills of Valdobbiadene in the Veneto region of Italy, an area recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Col Vetoraz, a winery with deep family roots in the region dating back to 1838, emphasizes selecting grapes from specific vineyards to capture the unique characteristics of this terroir. The steep, sun-exposed slopes and marlstone soils of Valdobbiadene contribute to the grapes' pronounced aromatic intensity. The 2021 vintage is described as having savory qualities with floral and mineral notes.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of this Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut begins with the soft pressing of Glera grapes. The resulting must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation. The secondary fermentation, which creates the wine's sparkle, is conducted in large tanks using the Charmat method. Following this, the wine is aged for 1 to 3 months on its lees. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September from high-altitude, steep vineyards, requiring manual labor. Col Vetoraz employs integrated defense protocols in its vineyards to minimize environmental impact and maintain soil health.
