WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Vallado 20 Years Old Tawny is a non-vintage Port created through the assemblage of various wines, with an average age of 20 years. The grapes are sourced from the Douro Valley. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes extended maturation in very old 600-liter oak barrels and other old oak vats. This prolonged aging period is a key technique that contributes to the wine's complex character and oxidative notes. Quinta do Vallado employs modern winemaking facilities, including state-of-the-art technology, while also maintaining organic cultivation practices at Quinta do Orgal.
