ABOUT THIS WINE
Le Ville di Antanè Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is a dry red wine from the Veneto region of Italy, specifically the Valpolicella appellation. Its unique character is derived from the 'Ripasso' winemaking technique, which involves a second fermentation on the lees of Amarone. The wine is produced by Le Ville di Antanè, a small, family-owned winery with a history dating back to the early 1900s. The current generation, Roberta, Davide, and Matteo, are dedicated to a modern approach that respects traditional indigenous grape varieties and sustainable practices, aiming to offer a distinctive expression of the Valpolicella region.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Le Ville di Antanè Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is produced using the traditional Ripasso method, which involves a second fermentation of the young Valpolicella Superiore wine on the lees and skins of Amarone. This process typically lasts for about three days at elevated temperatures. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in a combination of small barriques and larger traditional barrels. The winery, a family-owned estate, employs modern winemaking techniques alongside a commitment to sustainable practices and the use of indigenous grape varieties. The wine is released two years after the harvest.
