ABOUT THIS WINE
The Allegrini Valpolicella Superiore 2021 is a red wine from the Valpolicella DOC in the Veneto region of Italy. Produced by Allegrini, a family with winemaking roots dating back to the 16th century, this wine is crafted from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Oseleta grapes. The 'Superiore' designation indicates a higher alcohol content and a minimum aging period of one year, contributing to its enhanced complexity and structure. The grapes are sourced from hillside vineyards within the Valpolicella Classica area, known for its diverse soil types.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for Allegrini Valpolicella Superiore 2021 are hand-harvested in late September or early October. Following destemming, they undergo soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about nine days at temperatures between 25-31°C. Malolactic fermentation usually occurs in December. The wine is then aged for 12 months, with 50% in large Slavonian oak and 50% in French oak barriques, followed by bottle aging before release.
