ABOUT THIS WINE
Verbena Brunello di Montalcino is a 100% Sangiovese Grosso from Azienda Agricola Verbena di Luca Nannetti, located in Montalcino, Tuscany. The wine is a DOCG, signifying its high quality and protected origin. The Nannetti family, a multi-generational winegrowing family, manages the estate, which was established in 1985. They cultivate grapes across three distinct vineyard sites, each with unique exposures and altitudes, contributing to the wine's complexity. The 2020 vintage is noted for its balance of ripeness and acidity, a result of the specific climatic conditions of that year.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Verbena Brunello di Montalcino is produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso. After destemming, grapes ferment for 12-15 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barriques. The wine then undergoes a significant aging process: two years in oak vats (Austrian, Slavonian Botti) and French oak, followed by a minimum of one year of bottle aging before release. The estate manages 6 hectares of vineyards with a planting density of 4500 vines per hectare.
