ABOUT THIS WINE
Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2023 hails from the Marche region of Italy, specifically the Castelli di Jesi sub-region. This white wine is produced by the family-run Andrea Felici estate, which is committed to organic viticulture and sustainable practices. The unique microclimate of the region, characterized by hilly terrain, significant diurnal temperature variations, and Adriatic sea breezes, plays a crucial role in shaping the wine's profile. For the 2023 vintage, a notable aspect was the decision to not bottle a Riserva, meaning all the estate's best fruit was utilized in this Classico Superiore bottling. The winery is led by Leopardo Felici, who transitioned from a career as a sommelier to lead the family estate.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2023 begins with hand-harvested 100% Verdicchio Bianco grapes. The grapes undergo fermentation with partial skin contact for a few days, taking place in stainless steel and cement vats. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for three months on its lees in stainless steel tanks. It then undergoes a further two months of bottle aging before commercialization. No oak is used in the winemaking process. The winery adheres to certified organic and sustainable viticulture practices.
