ABOUT THIS WINE
Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2022 is a 100% Verdicchio from the Marche region of Italy, specifically the Castelli di Jesi sub-region. Produced by Az. Agr. Andrea Felici, the wine originates from high-altitude vineyards situated between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, on calcareous clay soils. The estate is family-run and practices certified organic viticulture. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes purity and terroir expression, utilizing concrete and stainless steel vats for fermentation and aging, with no oak influence. This approach aims to preserve the natural minerality and clarity of the Verdicchio grape.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2022 involves hand-harvesting grapes, typically in late September or early October, into small boxes. Fermentation takes place in concrete and stainless steel tanks, with a portion of the harvest undergoing a few days of skin maceration. Fermentation is temperature-controlled and managed under inert conditions to protect the wine from oxidation. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its lees for 6 to 12 months. No oak is utilized in the winemaking process; aging is exclusively in stainless steel and cement vats. Six staggered bottlings occur throughout the year.
