ABOUT THIS WINE
The Vespaiolo Frizzante Spago is a white Italian wine made from 100% Vespaiola grapes, an indigenous variety of the Veneto region, specifically the Breganze area in the province of Vicenza. The grape's name is thought to derive from 'vespa,' the Italian word for wasp, due to its attractive fragrance and sugar content. Cantina Beato Bartolomeo da Breganze, a cooperative winery, produces this wine, drawing on the collective expertise of local growers. The Breganze area is recognized as the traditional home of the Vespaiola grape, contributing to its unique expression in this wine.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Vespaiolo Frizzante Spago begins with the soft pressing of the Vespaiola grapes. Fermentation is conducted using selected yeasts at controlled temperatures of 18-20°C. The frizzante style is achieved through a secondary fermentation in an autoclave, commonly known as the Charmat method. Aging for this wine is typically brief and takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and aromatic qualities. Harvest is usually manual, occurring in mid to late September.
