ABOUT THIS WINE
Villa Conchi Cava Brut Blush Rosé is a sparkling rosé wine from Bodegas Villa Conchi, located in the Penedès region of Catalonia, Spain, within the D.O. Cava appellation. The wine is named in honor of Conchi, the matriarch of the Galarreta family, serving as a tribute to elegance and distinction. The producer, Bodegas Villa Conchi, is part of the ARAEX Grands Spanish Fine Wines group and focuses on producing high-quality Cavas. The distinctive rosé color is achieved through brief contact with red grape skins, predominantly from the Trepat grape, which is a key component in the blend alongside traditional Cava varietals and Chardonnay. The winery was established with the goal of creating a distinctive Cava, leveraging ideal vineyard sites in the Penedès.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Villa Conchi Cava Brut Blush Rosé is produced using the *método tradicional*, the same technique employed for Champagne. This involves a first fermentation to create a base wine, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle to produce the characteristic effervescence. The grapes are harvested at night to maintain freshness. After the second fermentation, the wine is aged on its lees in underground cellars for a minimum of twelve months, a process that contributes to its complexity and texture. The rosé color is achieved through limited skin contact with red grape varietals, primarily Trepat, before blending with other traditional Cava grapes and Chardonnay.
