ABOUT THIS WINE
Vin de Soda is a playful, highly drinkable sparkling wine crafted by brothers Gabriel and Simon Scheuermann in the Pfalz region of Germany. The cuvée was born from a unique request by their Swedish importer, Pompette, who needed a high-quality, natural sparkling wine suitable for the vibrant nightlife of Stockholm. Gabriel and Simon, who took over their family estate at just 16 and 19 years old, transitioned the property from selling grapes to estate-bottling expressive, biodynamic wines. Operating under the philosophy of letting their living soils speak, they craft this wine to bridge the gap between serious biodynamic viticulture and pure, casual fun.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Crafted using the Charmat (tank) method, which is highly unusual for natural sparkling wines, Vin de Soda undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The secondary fermentation takes place in a pressurized tank (autoclave) to capture natural carbon dioxide, ensuring a clean, reliable, and persistent froth without the unpredictable gushing of ancestral method sparkling wines. The wine is aged for seven months on its fine lees (sur lie) in stainless steel to build texture and complexity. It is bottled completely unfined and unfiltered with minimal to zero added sulfur dioxide, and sealed with a casual metal crown cap.
