ABOUT THIS WINE
First created in the summer of 1962 in a small coastal cellar, Viña Sol is one of Spain's most iconic Mediterranean white wines. The inspiration for the wine came to third-generation family member Miguel Torres Carbó during a period of imprisonment following the Spanish Civil War. Dreaming of the sun-baked, yellow-broom-laden fields of his childhood, he vowed to create a wine that captured the essence of the Mediterranean sun and fresh country air. Today, the wine remains a tribute to that vision, produced by the historic Familia Torres estate with a modern focus on organic viticulture and environmental sustainability.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2024 vintage of Viña Sol is crafted from hand-harvested Parellada and Garnacha Blanca grapes grown in the coastal and pre-coastal hills of Catalonia. The varieties were harvested separately at their optimal ripeness, starting with Garnacha Blanca in mid-August and followed by Parellada in September. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 16°C over a period of two weeks to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characteristics. To maintain its crisp, fresh, and youthful style, the wine did not undergo oak aging or malolactic fermentation, and was bottled in January 2025.
