ABOUT THIS WINE
Vingården i Klagshamn Pinot Noir Précocé 2022 is a red wine from Skåne län, Sweden, produced by Vingården i Klagshamn. It is made from the Pinot Noir Précoce grape variety, also known as Frühburgunder, which ripens earlier than traditional Pinot Noir, making it well-suited for cooler climates. The winery, established in 2001 by Murat Sofrakis and Lena Jörgensen, focuses on producing wines that express their specific terroir and climate, prioritizing grape varieties adapted to Swedish conditions. The vineyard's location near the Öresund strait contributes to its cool-climate viticulture.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Vingården i Klagshamn Pinot Noir Précocé 2022 is produced using the Pinot Noir Précoce grape variety. The winery employs ecological viticulture, utilizing local seaweed and horse manure for fertilization, and approved substances for crop-spraying. Vineyard work, including the manual harvest, is a key aspect of their production. Following harvest, the wine undergoes maturation in a combination of used American oak barrels (11 months), neutral oak barrels (40%), and concrete tanks (50%). This process is guided by the producer's philosophy of expressing the unique Swedish terroir and climate.
