ABOUT THIS WINE
The story of Vinícola Dall'Armi began in 1888 when Giovanni Battista Dall'Armi emigrated from Vicenza, Italy, to the neighborhood of Santa Felicidade in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Initially, Giovanni cultivated grapevines solely to produce wine for his family's table, keeping alive a vital Italian immigrant tradition. Over time, as yields grew, the family began sharing their surplus with the local community. Today, the estate remains a cultural pillar of Santa Felicidade, operating a traditional cantina that celebrates the heritage of 'vinho colonial'—the rustic, comforting table wines that sustained early immigrant families.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
This traditional red table wine is crafted from American hybrid grape varieties, primarily Isabel and Bordô, sourced from partner family farms in the high-altitude, basaltic soils of the Serra Gaúcha region. The grapes are hand-harvested from traditional overhead pergola systems (latadas) to protect them from ground humidity. Fermentation takes place at the family's facility in Curitiba using temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This approach combines the rustic flavor profile of historic Italian-Brazilian home fermentations with modern oenological standards. The wine is bottled fresh without oak aging to preserve its vibrant primary fruit character.
