ABOUT THIS WINE
Ruffino Vinsanto Serelle is a sweet white wine from Tuscany, Italy, classified as Vin Santo del Chianti. It is produced using a traditional method where grapes are dried before fermentation to concentrate their sugars. The wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, with a specific technique of not filling the barrels completely to impart a subtle oxidized character. Ruffino, the producer, was founded in 1877 and aims to create wines that represent both tradition and innovation in Tuscan winemaking.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Ruffino Vinsanto Serelle begins with the drying of Malvasia and Trebbiano grape bunches to concentrate sugars. Fermentation occurs in 225-liter French oak barrels, with the barrels intentionally not filled completely to encourage a subtle oxidative tone. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for three years in these oak barrels. This process results in a sweet wine with a pronounced intensity and a long finish.
