WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Vitalba Romagna Albana Secco 2022 is produced using 100% Albana grapes. The winemaking begins with spontaneous fermentation on the skins within Georgian terracotta amphorae (kvevri), a method that eschews selected yeasts and temperature control. This is followed by an extended maceration period of 120 days on the skins. Post-maceration, the wine ages in the same amphorae for an additional 10 months. The grapes are harvested in the first week of September. Tre Monti employs sustainable viticulture, incorporating biodynamic principles, and their winemaking philosophy centers on minimal intervention to preserve the fruit's integrity and the vintage's character. The winery is recognized for its innovative use of kvevri for Albana production in the Romagna region.
