ABOUT THIS WINE
The Plantaze Vranac Barrique 2018 is a 100% Vranac red wine from the Podgorica region of Montenegro. Vranac is the country's most important indigenous grape, representing a significant portion of its vineyard land. The grapes are cultivated in the expansive Ćemovsko polje vineyard, benefiting from the local climate. The 'Barrique' designation signifies aging in oak barrels, contributing to the wine's structure and complexity. The producer, 13. WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Plantaze Vranac Barrique 2018 is produced from 100% Vranac grapes. Following harvest, the wine undergoes fermentation, which contributes to its alcohol content. A significant part of its development comes from aging for 18 months in French oak barrels, potentially with some American oak influence. This is followed by a period of maturation in stainless steel tanks and subsequent aging in bottle before release.
