ABOUT THIS WINE
Wineslut White is a cheeky, adventurous white blend crafted by winemaker Amy Christine MW and her husband Peter Hunken of Holus Bolus. Designed to dismantle the snobbery often associated with fine wine, the Wineslut label represents a playful, unpretentious approach to high-quality winemaking. Amy, one of only a handful of female Masters of Wine in the United States, sources grapes from cool-climate, marine-influenced vineyards in Santa Barbara County to create a wine that is both serious in quality and delightfully casual in spirit.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2022 Wineslut White is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Vermentino. The grapes are hand-harvested from cool-climate sites in the Santa Ynez Valley. Following a gentle pressing, the juice undergoes alcoholic fermentation in old, neutral French oak barrels. This barrel fermentation and subsequent aging on the lees softens the wine's texture and adds a rounded, creamy mouthfeel without imparting dominant oak flavors. In line with a low-intervention philosophy, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its natural vibrancy.
