This wine is a blend of Grenache Blanc from two distinct vineyard sites: one in Voor-Paardeberg on decomposed granite soils and another in Piekenierskloof on sandstone soils at a high elevation. The vineyards are dry-farmed and range in age from 14 to 19 years old. The name 'Wolf & Woman' symbolizes a balance in nature and winemaking, with label art inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estés' 'Women Who Run with the Wolves'.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Wolf & Woman Grenache Blanc 2022 is produced using a minimal intervention approach. Grapes are hand-picked early in the morning and whole-cluster pressed directly into neutral 500L old French oak barrels. Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then matured for 8 months on gross lees in these barrels. Partial malolactic fermentation may be employed in some vintages. The aim is to capture the essence of the terroir with a focus on sustainable farming and old vine fruit.
