ABOUT THIS WINE
Vincent Ruiz is one of the most exciting young names in France's natural wine movement. Before establishing his own micro-negociant project, Les Vins de Vincent, he worked as the assistant to legendary Cornas grower Franck Balthazar, where he mastered the creation of elegant, low-intervention Syrah. Following the passing of Dominique Belluard in 2021, Ruiz also took over the day-to-day operations at Savoie's iconic Domaine du Gringet. Yseult Mon Amour represents a personal bridge between his native Ardèche, where the grapes are grown, and the cool alpine cellars of Savoie where the wine is crafted.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for this cuvée emphasizes extreme gentleness and zero chemical intervention. Grapes are hand-harvested from 60-year-old organic vines on a high-altitude clay-limestone plateau in Southern Ardèche. They are transported in a refrigerated truck to the Domaine du Gringet cellar in Savoie to preserve freshness. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with 100% whole clusters using indigenous yeasts. The maceration lasts two to three weeks as a gentle infusion, completely avoiding punch-downs or pump-overs. After a soft pressing in a traditional vertical press, the wine ages for 10 months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. It is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur.
