ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Zarate's Zarate Albariño 2023 hails from the Rías Baixas DO in Galicia, Spain, a region known for its Atlantic influence and granite soils. The winery, established in 1707, is a historic producer of Albariño, with Eulogio Pomares, the seventh generation of his family, at the helm. His winemaking philosophy emphasizes organic and biodynamic farming practices, aiming for minimal intervention to express the vineyard's terroir. The 2023 vintage is characterized by moderate ripeness and a balanced profile, reflecting the unique conditions of the Val do Salnés sub-region.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Zarate Albariño 2023 is produced from 100% Albariño grapes. Fermentation is typically spontaneous, utilizing native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately three months on its fine lees in stainless steel. A portion of the wine, varying by vintage, may undergo malolactic fermentation. The vineyards are managed using organic and biodynamic farming principles, with manual harvesting and careful grape selection.
